Protect Against Virus Corruption
Today's latest and greatest viruses can very
easily infect your system and can cause your operating system to corrupt, make
your applications not work, or can infect (or even delete) your data.
Viruses are getting more and more sneaky every
day and they are only going to get worse. It is a constant battle between the
virus creators and the anti-virus software writers. Unfortunately, many times
viruses can spread rampantly before the anti-virus software creators can even
get an update created and made available, let alone before you can download it
to protect your system in time?
When was the last time you updated your virus
definitions? Do you automatically update them as they become available, or do
you manually do it when you feel like it? Was that last week, last month, or
did you just install the software and have never downloaded and performed an
update? Unless you physically do updates yourself, or have it set to auto
update, your system is not being properly protected.
Never underestimate the power of a virus to knock out
your system and suddenly corrupt all your data files. They are a vicious fact
of life in the computer world and even if you are taking the most diligent
precautions, it can sometimes not be enough.
Should your system ever become infected with a virus with
Remote Data Backups you will be able to make your computer look
exactly the way it did before it became infected using our
advanced Easy System Restore
function (included in our 10 GB Server
Backup). You will have the ability to "roll back the clock of time" with
just a few clicks of the mouse.
Virus corruption can also be particularly devastating to
those who rely on just mirrored drives or
RAID systems for their backup solution. Unfortunately, since it is not a
true "backup" solution, as soon as the primary drive becomes corrupt, so does
the mirrored drive. Unless you have an additional backup system in place, you
will not be able to restore your data to a previous date.
Don't be infected by a virus! Keep your antivirus
software protection up to date, and use daily offsite backups in case a virus
sneaks in. |
